Blonde Morels 2011?
May 16, 2011 09:16AM
Anyone else finding any morels in Colorado this year? We have only found 20 some so far... But hopefully with all of this rain we will get many more! I found 7 yesterday along with many, many oysters and 14 Agaricus bitorquis. All in all, not a bad day.

Walked by a creek yesterday, didn't see any - that's 0 for 3 searches for me this season, think I might have missed it this year sad smiley

Thats great news. Kids always seem to see things we miss easily. I'm thinking about scouting a couple areas here in town tomorrow.

Our foray went well today. With over 40 people looking, 6 blonde morels mostly past their prime, many oysters, Stropharia sp., Inocybe sp., Heliocybe sulcata, Conocybe tenera, Coprinus atramentarius and micaceus, Agaricus campestris, Marasmius oreades, various other LBMs and polys. All in all a good day! And the cook and taste was delicious! Wild field mushrooms with asparagus! Mmmmmm!
