Were beginning to find mushrooms all over. I found many city Agaricus yesterday and will head up the mountain later this afternoon to check some spots!!

wish i could go during the week.... stupid hang ups.... mortgage, food, job... but i do continue to look during breaks. wish i knew/studied all the lbms a little better.. they are everywhere. Good luck...smiling smiley

I know how that goes firsthand.

LBM's aren't all that if you ask me. I've seen many this year too but most are unfriendly. The one I do like however is Laccaria laccata. It is one of the easiest LBM's to identify and can be rather abundant early in the season. The woody stem and reddish color give it away.
