Habitat:
Under Conifers at high elevations.

Description:
Tough and rubbery. A. confluens is a better edible which isn't normally as tough. These are regarded as a fine edible in other countries such as Sweden. These were found around Monarch Pass area. In Fall 2006 they were numerous. We found an entire hillside of them. They are pretty common > 10,000ft in elevation.
