High elevation coniferous forest.
Description:
The appearance is much like the golden chantrelle with spines underneath rather than ridges. This is a very good edible mushroom that is not mistakable for much else except a Chantrelle until you see underneath. Free of bugs and good storage. A favorite pleasant surprise to find every time!
