Higher elevation coniferous forest.

Description

A red capped Russula with a spicy taste. Take a small bite, chew for about 10 seconds then spit it out (its safe). It should be peppery. There are many other red Russula's in Colorado too. This one is typically smaller, bright red and always peppery. Usually just a few close together.
