In the mountains growing under confiers. These photos growing under Fir and Pine trees.

Yellow with brown scales on the cap. Ring on the stalk with a shaggy stem below the ring. It's closely related to Floccularia straminea. Be careful not to confuse with Lepiotas or Agaricus. They typically grow in small groups of threes or fours.
