Location: Colorado Edibility: Edible Color: Grey to Black
Habitat: Grows on Corn in the garden or in corn fields.
Description:
A parasitic mold-like fungus which grows on corn. It transforms corn kernels into larger grey mushroom like fungus. It is considered a delicacy in Mexican cuisine. It can be purchased in some latin markets in a can.
