Associated with Ponderosa and possibly other pines in Colorado.
Description
A bright orange waxy cap that typically grows in small groups with a slimy, waxy cap.
Previously known as Hygrophorus speciosus however a genetic paper from 2018 found H. siccipes is associated with Ponderosa Pine while H. speciosus is associated with Larch.
